Letter to Members, Sanchez-Casal tennis center

To all ASC members:

As we begin the new season, it has come to our attention that some clarification is needed about the membership levels. As with any thriving and evolving orga- nization, we might experience these “growing pains” from time to time. We ap- preciate your patience while everything is settling in, and we are working hard to make sure that being a member here always lives up to your expectations.

Hurricane Irma caused a bump in the road, and it’s been a challenging situation to get the property and the courts ready to go. The courts should all be in tip-top shape very soon! Thank you for your understanding on this, as well.

There has been a change in how we manage court availability, and the pricing has changed accordingly. With a lowered price on the Tennis and Club member- ship, you can reserve the courts any time of day except the peak time

between 8:30am and 11am. The Executive members can reserve courts any time of day, and when filling up the courts during that peak time, they shall re- ceive preference. On occasion, there might be a need for one or two more play- ers, in which case the manager can call upon other members to fill an available space. We will pay close attention to these player lists, and try to give everyone an equal chance to have their preference.

The maintenance of the courts is a very high priority, and in order to do this, sometimes a court needs time off for some TLC. This is necessary, and we know the court appears empty (and it is), to be in better shape for the next group.

We are proud to have an excellent Academy, more tournaments, and extra activi- ties planned for this season. We apologize for any inconvenience that might be caused by the changes. We hope that some temporary growing pains will lead us to a better place, with stability and success in the long term.

Thank you for your patience, and here’s to a great season!
